It is the best riding quad I have ever been on. That surpasses the 500 Outlander that I had before I picked this one up at the local shop just after they came out in 2008.
There is plenty of power, the only thing limiting its performance is your right thumb. This is a pretty awesome quad straight out of the showroom, but with a little bit of tinkering and some performance mods, this can become one heck of a beast!
I've rode my quad 100 miles in one day on some of the roughest trails around my part of Virginia and this thing wanted more. No problems with any mechanical or other components. I burned out a fan sensor on my own dumb luck playing in too much mud on one ride. Otherwise, it's a SOLID machine!
Upgrades/Accessories: Upgraded with HMF Penland Pro exhaust kit with torque range modifier and the efi programmer. Also added an K&N filter to the airbox. First ride after this install made me think I was on a totally different machine. And it was different. Takes a little bit to "re-learn" all of the sweet spots and when you can push the throttle as far as you like but its well worth it! I'm now looking into having the motor pulled and bumped up to a 650cc with the appropriate adjustments.
